Equilibrium/Disequilibrium

The relationship and dialogue that is established between images is a very important aspect of my artwork.  Aesthetically, the arrangement of multiple images offers a foundation to explore balance and harmony.  However, the act of combining images can also create “hiccups” among the photographs.

The process and content of these images is directly related to notions surrounding stability and dislocation.  Crucial to the work is my presence.  By exploring the self, I have been able to reflect upon the nature of memory, natural cycles, and general anxiety.  Moments of calmness and unevenness are experienced in these spaces.

The images below were created between 2009-2010.
